The North Valley Challenge is a series of four amateur golf tournaments (scrambles), using a best-ball team format, is designed and dedicated to helping Veterans, women, students, and local communities.
Four Tournaments
-
Woodburn High School Tournament—OGA, 4-25-26
-
Tualatin Chamber Tournament—Tualatin CC, 6-29-26
-
Sherwood Chamber Tournament—Chehalem Glenn, 7-15-26
-
Canby Chamber Tournament—Willamette CC, 8-3-26
Purpose
-
To provide a tournament golf experience for Veterans at venues they might not have the opportunity to normally play as sponsors cover the team costs for each event.
-
To generate additional tournament revenue to help offset the cost of producing the event.
-
Each tournament raises money for operations, community programs and scholarships for programs that benefit Veterans, women, students, and community outreach programs. They supply college and university, apprenticeships, community college, and trade school funding as an example.
Objective
The objective of the North Valley Challenge is to bring one or more sponsors to help each of these four tournaments with the cost associated with producing the event.
Individual tournaments are responsible for smaller sponsors although the North Valley Challenge will help as it can with specific categories: raffle prizes, tee prizes, lunch/dinner and hole sponsorships. The North Valley Challenge may be able to provide certain sponsors that will be represented in all four tournaments.
Year End Awards
The North Valley Challenge has a year-end award, on an accumulative score basis, for the team with the highest total score. To win the North Valley Challenge trophy a team must play in three out of four tournaments to be competitive. Player substitutions are acceptable, but the team must have at least two of the same players each time.
The Year End Champions Trophy for the North Valley Challenge will be awarded to the winning team, but the proper trophy shall reside at the North Valley Challenge office throughout the year. Smaller versions of the trophy shall be presented to each winning team member. The Year End Trophy shall be awarded to the winning team permanently if that team wins three years in a row.
North Valley Challenge year end champions will receive special prizes along with the trophies, example; BBQ’s, pull carts, special certificates to events like the Pendleton Round up, selected golf clubs and Sqairz Golf Shoes
